Cleanest Way to install Debian Testing

After taking a look at a reddit discussion regarding Debian Testing v. Debian Unstable, I decided to turn my attention to extending the video I did on creating a bootable USB stick with Debian stable with the goal of getting Debian Testing running efficiently. To me, this is definitely the way to go. Debian stable first THEN update into Debian testing (Bookworm).

7:57 choose "Execute a shell" before "Select and install software". Then "chroot /target" and change the sources.list from there. It's quicker and straightforward to "Testing"

Hi Drew, I completed "The cleanest way to install Debian Testing" yesterday, and I'm satisfied with it. I do have one little trick to pass on...I'm sure you had a good reason for using your script to install XFCE, however I wanted gnome. While still in the console, after completing 'dist-upgrade' i ran sudo tasksel and used the pick list to choose gnome. That was all there was to it.

Drew, when you create your user in this install, are you automatically set (or can you choose to set) as an administrator, or does that need to be done afterward? Or does it automatically make you an admin since you didn't create a password for root?

I tried to do the same but my wifi need non-free firmware and I don't have access to ethernet 😢😢

What is the reason you think this is better than a direct install of testing?

When I install neofetch I do it with --no-install-recommends and install only neofetch.

I would have used Emacs, but that is me. I think that it is much easier to beginners. And it is much more expandable and configurable if you want to do that.
