Why Russia Feared Joseph Stalin

For a quarter of a century, Russia was ruled by a man remembered as one of the most brutal dictators in history. A figure so monolithic in his power and influence over the country he governed that to even speak out against him and his policies could cause a person to vanish from their home or place of work… some even disappeared from photos, where they were once stood right next to the man himself. This one man, who, alongside the Allied Forces, was instrumental in the defeat of Nazi Germany and bringing an end to World War Two, arguably wielded and exercised more political power than any single figure in world history. And his name was Ioseb Dzhugashvili, better known as Joseph Stalin.

Stalin wasn't ethnic Russian. He was ethnic Georgian. He spoke broken Russian with thick Georgian accent. His real last name is Dzhugashivili which is Georgian. But he made up his own last name Stalin which sound more Russian in order to appeal to Russians(In Russian it means made out of steel). Georgia now is independent country with its own culture, language and which now has nothing in common with Russia. Georgia now has bad relations with Russia since russia invaded it 2 times and occupied some of its territories in 2008

As a politician Stalin had incredible insight on how the government worked...He was given a mediocre position by Lenin but he used it to its fullest to become number one. He knew exactly how the levers of power worked like no one else.

Not just Georgian wine - but RACHIAN wine

I visited a winery in Racha, Khvanchkara, specifically, that claimed to have been a supplier of wine to the Yalta Conference, and was a favored supplier of wine to Stalin

I dunno if any of that was TRUE. But they did make a nice medium-sweet red, and their chacha was pretty excellent 😅

Likely he served Chacha, so the guests eyebrows melted off from the fumes.
