Fun Fact: Beacons are made of glass and obsidian, and function just like the two combined. It enables redstone to go upwards like glass, and does not stick to slime.

Edit: You can also use slime blocks for the wiring and honey for the contraption as the two don't stick, but you can't put redstone on honey because they are not full blocks...

The reason for all of these is that honey blocks aren’t a full block, as they’re slightly smaller. The only practical thing this does is make it so you can click through the edges of them.

Honey blocks are classified as transparent, whereas slime blocks are solid. It's quite useful actually. (You can't do tons of stuff with transparent blocks, like placing torches)

Those are the downsides of a less-than-full block, but there’s definitely usefulness with it, like hidden arrow slits or buttons or water elevators.

the slime block being a solid block while the honey block being a transparent block is probably my favorite thing about it, its incredibly versatile for every situations, it makes complex flying machine WAY easier to make compact without breaking
