This reality exists in the UK aswell. The electricity may be cheaper if you exclude fuel excise duty, but the cost of the charging infrastructure is very high, and those costs need to be recovered.

The way people typically save charging EV’s is by charging at home. If you’re charging on the road, typically you pay at least three or four times as much. This is difficult for people who do not own single houses with chargers. Furthermore, people need to leave their cars out on the driveway, so if it catches fire, it doesn’t burn down the house.

In Madrid it cost 135 % more to charge your ev than it does to buy a tank of fuel

Here in Australia they charge over 70 cents per kilowatt and shortly it will been a dollar per kilowatt

Then you have the government taxes and road tolls ...


Increasing insurance on ev and Hybrids because most ev are being written off even with very minor damage done in a accident

Then you have the ev locking you inside your vehicle malfunctioning or the battery going into thermal runaway while you inside the ev ...


We all knew the prices to buy and own an ev or a would go through the roof because once to have a ev you are at the mercy of theses marfia style extortion fees and prices



Owning a ev is certainly a hell of alot more expensive and hassel than owning a petrol or diesel vehicle

this is a hyped up report and the charging cost in China is well below an average E U country. In Italy it cost 6.36 C. Yuan x kwh compared to .87 in China.

Same is happening in UK, we've just been warned that prices will increase in October 2024, and I'm sure we'll not see the last of this...

If you have money to buy BEV, you can pay only 20% of the EV car cost by installing solar cell rooftops. EV cost in Thailand is about $15000-20000 but the cost of installing solar rooftop to charge EV car in my house is only $4000. The generated electricity is more than enough with surplus as well which reduce the electricity cost monthly by 50%. Within 5 years, the free electricity gained from solar should be equal to the cost of BEV car! Do people still fail to see the benefits of BEV car? You cannot produce petrol/diesel at home to fill up your vehicle. But you can produce electricity at home to charge your EV vehicle. Since my solar panels/inverter are imported from China. I believe that installing solar rooftop in China should be cheaper than $4000! I also believe that the Chinese are not so stupid, not seeing the benefit of rooftop solar power as China sells more rooftop solar panels in China more than any where else in the world.

I just roll my eyes every time green activists are shocked by these electricity price hikes. Of course you will have more of these “service fees” or “maintenance fees” and many other fees because you will be forced to shoulder a lot of things like power loss aka transmission costs as a consequence of resistance in the power lines. A lot of that energy is lost as heat and the resistance of the power lines depends on the weather. The warmer the weather, the higher the resistance along the power lines and therefore the higher the power loss. The lower the temperature, the lower the resistance but also the faster the discharge rate of batteries. And those charging stations will also keep consuming energy despite not being used. Long story short, the whole system is energy inefficient. In contrast, ICE cars directly converts fuel into energy/work and thus has less power loss.

This video is missing the comparison of gasoline price changes for the same period. What we might be seeing is not an EV scam but rampant inflation.

a battery's capacity degrades with time, a fuel tank will never change capacity, ev's are hard and dangerous to service if you dont know about electricity

In America it is massively cheaper to charge at home. Charging outside the home the power costs are about 80% of what gas would be to fill up the tank.
