Burnout symptoms: fatigue, exhaustion, and irritability are warning signs you shouldn't ignore. Signs of burnout easily slip into everyday life as fatigue, exhaustion, and irritation. At first, you might think that if you just sleep more or take care of the bills or fix that one nagging problem, these symptoms will go away - but after weeks, months, or years pass by and you still feel the same, you may begin to wonder why just getting out of bed in the morning has become so hard.

You might be hard on yourself for becoming lazy or weak - but these self-accusations are not the answer! Burnout is caused by continuous physical, mental, and emotional pressure and can happen to anyone. There are unwanted stigmas of low self-worth and strength attached to it, but these are wrong as well.

Symptoms of burnout include (not limited to): changes in appetite, critical and negative mindset, withdrawal / not wanting to be present, social and relational isolation, inability to relax, feeling unappreciated, resentment towards friends and family, sarcastic and hostile outlook, and an overall sense of cynicism.

Living with burnout hurts. But this does not have to be the end of your story. Healing comes from looking beneath all your current problems to the deeper mindset, shame, and false beliefs you may have been carrying for years and gently working through these things. If you want to break free from this negative pattern and begin to live in authenticity and health, we are here to support you in your journey. Reach out today.

That's sad, I will pray for anyone that is going through this.😢

At a certain level if you are becoming more cognizant of how toxic most people are many of those behaviours are natural. I say isolate, 100%, regroup and seek out other people. If any.

I'm 50, I have had these symptoms for literally decades, everyday is such a challenge, and the way I feel about myself and how I ended up like this is the worst part.

Sorry... life is seriously hard without any safe/supportive family. I call myself an adult orphan.

Thank you, Tim Fletcher, for helping us understand ourselves better! No one else does. My spouse doesn't want to. No family. It's hard!😢

nowadays, seems like you have to have some sort of perfect self image and decorum. Otherwise you’re labelled as a victim or being negative.

it seems like no one is allowed to shoot the breeze anymore, and just talk off-the-cuff about the things that are irking them

codependency anonymous meetings seem to be the only place where I can share, and it’s considered okay for me to share, because there is the boundary in the meeting of no crosstalk

otherwise, if I want to get something off my chest, I guess I have to either go to therapy or maybe do re-evaluation counselling sessions

yeah, if you want to complain to someone nowadays, seems like you’re holding them hostage with your negativity

it’s kind of like the whole world is one big pimple, needing to “Pop”

100% spot on my experience, since basically the pandemic... And I can tell I'm even more pissed on the doctors and health system who did not do shit, when I came very early, years ago
