Ha! My Iranian father graduated FIRST in his class. Something he liked to remind me of all the time since my grades weren't that good. I once proudly told him I got a 97 on an exam in a class I was struggling with and his response was "Oh? What were those 3 points you missed?" But every award I ever got he would proudly talk about for years. Even in the letter he left me to read after he passed away he brought up all those awards to remind me to always strive for excellence. 

Loved the Ess in front of all English words starting with an S. Always wondered what that was about. My cousin was Ess-Scott. "Kaveh don't be ess-stupid. You have to ess-study hard at ess-school or you will end up doing manual labor like your cousin ess-Scott."
