I agree, I start with 6 and go up if I need to, I have hit deep relics with recovery 6 and 7

Trying to find a gold ring in a very trashy park, Ive been running large coil recovery 3 highest sensitivity/ 26 default threshold. Best I can get out of it is 8 inch dime. O and notch to 10 to50 and 75 to 99

Precisely, reasoning is well laid out. A highly polluted site will not even allow a coin to be seen at the overall depth potential of the coil used, so why try? Machines these days are great, but this is really where the operator counts. A lot.

The Deus 2 is a different animal all together I can run a lower recovery and a high sens in the salt.

I have to run at 5 or 6 recovery speed in the wet sand or saltwater to keep it quiet or I have to turn the sens down to 18 ish. I can turn the sens up to 21 on the wet sand. So does it actually cancel it out? Should you run a low recovery and less sens or higher sens and high recovery speed?

I’m seeing the higher you go you loose a lot of depth
