Completing the square for quadratics

This video presents a couple of examples of completing the square, first for a monic quadratic (the coefficient of x^2 is 1) and then the slightly more difficult example of the non-monic quadratic. I talk about how to approach the problem, but also why it is that we do it in this particular way.
