Since 2022 marked the year China saw its first population decline in nearly six decades, India is now expected to become the world’s most populous country in 2023, according to United Nations projections. India’s population currently stands at nearly 1.4066 billion, compared to China’s 1.4118 billion.

Every one is only thinking that growing population in India will increase economy but as a youth of India i think it will Increase unemployment, the competition will become more and more and it will give pressure to students 😔 so i am not happy about it 😟

As an Indian
I would say our population shouldn't cross more than 700 million
Hats off to UP and Bihar for having population more than 450 million and creating most poverty stricken region
Thats the region which suffer from casteism, women oppressment by veil, dowry, early marriage etc
The more worst thing is that they totally depend upon other regions to help them and wanna control whole Indian politics
It's just like uneducated egoistic people wanna control the whole nation when they have nothing to return us .
We have nothing related to them in past, don't know why we have been stuck like that .

As a Nepali, who is from their neighbouring country, it is worrying to us as they are not as advanced and organised as China. Poor population surpassed to that of middle clsss. Bihar alone is vastly populated and crimes are so high and common that criminals run towards Nepal to escape due to open border policy. India needs to bring 1 child policy like China before. They can't feed their own nation to begin with.

Over 1.4 billions populations in India with GDP 1/6 of China, how can Indian population can have a better life in India then 1% of riches Indian own over half of India wealth. For every rich Indian there are over 700 Indian live in poverty.
