This is a side channel of mine, stop saying it stole the video lmao. I made this video specifically for this channel

The "nut jump" is already pretty funny in itself, but the fact it has to be a WET nut jump makes me wonder if it wasn't intentional.

Sometimes I don't realize that Ant is an ACTUAL runner and not just a youtuber that does runs just for the stream.

I like how ant’s world record for the 13 captures min cap category is literally 15 minutes faster than the world peace world record

As soon as it's obsolete, the catagory will be called "no cap".

Love how confused Cappy gets when you brute-force your way up there, like "why is there a blank picture frame here??"

8:37 Cappy saying "Why is there an empty picture frame here?" is such a subtly great way of rewarding players that manage this. You're never *supposed* to find an empty picture frame. But the devs knew there was nothing they could reasonably do to ensure you couldn't. They knew people like you would tear this game apart and find a way. So they just accepted it, and gave you a subtle yet powerful thumbs-up; gratz, you did the "impossible".

I love how the history of this run is basically "but then, it got weirder"

SmallAnt saying "they" like he didn't hold the WR for mincaps for a VERY long time and is currently only 19 seconds behind the 3 caps WR.

Smallant: Cappy might be obsolete some day
Also Smallant: uses cappy for almost every trick in the run

You guys wouldnt believe the shock of my friend who's really into speedruns of Mario games when I mentioned "the wet nut jump" out of context, he was incredulous about my knowledge of it since it's for such a specific category

"From that point on, it was played with two controllers, one for hands and one for feet"

Because of course you did. You guys are crazy and I love it.

The thing i love the most about this run is that the closer to the goal you get, the longer the expected time to complete

"To this day, there is no glitch to get up to that island"

2 minutes later: *Starts explaining CRCs and how they get him up to the island*

As a watcher of SmallAnt for a while now to just randomly stumble across this channel definitely put me in a loop recognizing his iconic voice

Imagine being a game developer and speedrunners are trying to complete the game without it's main mechanic

"I'll allow it"

The fact the nut jump was found after November was a miracle

You can now complete it with only 2 captures.
If you throw Cappy onto something (whether it's a capture or not), and die on the same frame, you get teleported to the center of the current map. In Ruined Kingdom, the center of the map is in the middle of the Ruined Dragon boss arena. If you use 2-player mode and get Cappy put onto one of the stakes that you have to pull out using Cappy (these don't count as captures) and die by falling into the void on the same frame, you'll get teleported right to the Ruined Dragon boss fgiht and you won't have to capture the wire.
