2024 BMW 540i Review - Still the best handling BMW

The 2024 540i is here! They have carried through the same adjustments to this vehicle as they have with previous cars in our new lineup. From the new Illumniated kidney grill, to the space age video game interior it is definitely... different. Thankfully outside of the new "glitz and glam" you still have a great handling vehicle capable of going sideways and clearly communicating when to apply the throttle vs pull out in a corner. My mom got one a month ago. It drives smooth. I just returned my 21 m440xi coupe lease and the acceleration feels very similar, more isolated and refined but similar. Makes you wonder why BMW has not promoted it at all….BC they know no one will buy the i5

You overshot this M5 weight guesstimate by 2000lbs ! Nobody was saying the new M5 will be 7200lbs. That's nuts !

The most dissapointing thing is, that in Europe we don't have G60 version with B58 engine (540i). That really sucks. When I see price of new 540i G60 in USA starting from 64k, its simply unfair. We are basically poorer then Americans and we have to pay about 20% more for basic G60 version with R4 engine, although we have about 500 miles to Munich, not Atlantic Ocean.

Video game interior is a deal breaker for me. Is this really what people want? Go back to the elegant interiors that BMW used to make and I would be first in line to sign up.

Such a sexy 5 series. I hate the look/design of the front seats especially the side profile..so ugly.
