I am astounded how they found an actress that mirrors Diana's beauty, grace, voice, mannerisms, humanity, pain, joy, and everything so well! This actress deserves all the awards. It gave us all a little more of Diana... Bittersweet.

I love when King Charles says “Paris, The worlds busiest city and you brought it to a standstill”and Diana’s ghost says “Ta Da”

Don't care what people think, it's one of the best scenes of the series. Perfectly acted and written.

In the season 2 episode "Dear Mrs. Kennedy" the Queen Mother says about Jackie, "she was unhappy, though." And then the Queen says, "that's the thing about unhappiness. All it takes is something worse to come along to make you realise perhaps it was happiness after all." That's the line I thought of during this episode.

When Diana said “I’ll take that with me”, it really finished me off. This was the moment she and Charles made their peace and she travelled on…into the pages of history.

This is a great scene, because it shows the vulnerability that Charles always kept hidden from Diana. As many have pointed out, she's not a ghost. She's just a memory that Charles uses to bounce off his emotions in a time of grief and sadness. We've all had internal dialogues in our lifetime. Dominic West and Elizabeth Debicki are absolutely fantastic. I was on board with them since day one and I'm glad this show perfectly highlights their amazing acting talent.

When she said thank you to Charles for how he was in the hospital, and when she says 'i'll take that with me, ' oh lord. That made me cry. Fly high princess Diana.

"I'll take that with me" is the line of this scene. It tells us that Diana is gone, and that this is her last moment, her last visitation, before her spirit departs forever.

1:52 when her theme started playing here, the new season 6 version, it completely floored me man. Like I read somewhere that back in season 4, when her theme was first introduced (Fairytale) and the composer talked about how the voices represented Diana's cries for help and how the song has these little voices kinda fade away and the song is taken over by strings that represent the crown.

In the season 5 version (gunpowder), when Diana's book came out, the voices were louder than the strings, which i guess signified Diana taking over and how she had chosen to tell her story.

And here, in season 6, the voices aren't there anymore because she's gone- 😭

Elizabeth is SO convincing as Diana. This scene was eerie and painful.

I cried when the word regret was used. In the saddest moment after a loss there's always regret. It doesn't matter who you are. ❤

Your tears cannot bring back the gorgeous woman you have lost. You took her for granted.

After all these years her passing is still sad

She wasn’t a ghost. It’s a visual representation of the characters ‘speaking’ to Diana as they cope in their griefs. It’s similar to how Sherlock and John kept ‘seeing’ Mary in the BBC show after she died. It’s a great plot device deployed beautifully here.

I know The Crown is fiction based on the backdrop of historical fact. What I have loved the most from this series is its ability to make the royal family human and that's not necessarily a bad thing. My favorite subject in school was history and I particularly loved British history with its long line of monarchs who have added an amazing history themselves intertwined with England.

I cried watching this scene 😭 Both his and her tears. Brings me back to the scene when they danced together in Australia.

Charles never wanted her gone. He may not have loved her as a romantic partner, but he loved her as the mother of their boys.

Diana *would* have said that to support him, but Charles already knew the truth. Diana's ghost isn't haunting him. That's something he had made his peace with. It's her memory that is stuck to him. He's not allowed to forget what he did. The regret will never pass, even if things got easier for him and Camilia over the years before he took the crown. He's had many, many years to make his peace with that he'll never escape it. He's had no choice but to.
