North Korea is unironically one of the safest countries for western tourists in the entire world. Tourists are generally forbidden from interacting with regular NK citizens, so there is no threat of violence from the local population, while the NK government definitely wouldn't want to have a scandal involving western tourists, since it could cause a political crisis. Israelis basically qualify as western and are coming from a strong US ally, so the country is very safe for them.
