If you’re someone who is or is about to be diagnosed with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS), here are some helpful pointers you can consider with your trusted physician.

✔️ When taking medical history, ask about the involvement of mast cells. Avoid immediately concluding to allergies or MCAS.
✔️ Was there anything that caused your skin to itch or turn red?
✔️ Does your body react to strong odors and smells?

The goal is not to assume MCAS but to be able to reach an accurate diagnosis that could involve mast cells, allergies, or even none of the above.
