This has been along the lines of my bipolar theory for years. I've been studying it because my family's been plagued by it for decades...if not more.

I had something like this, I would have severe migraines due to MCAS and they would concuss my brain a little each time. Several days after, I would always act like I had a concussion: angry, irrational, etc. It wasn’t full on psychosis but it was on that spectrum of what he described.

Towards the end of last month and the beginning of this month has been hell for me. I’ve known that I have histamine intolerance for a while and I’ve been in denial and thinking well I should do this for my gut to heal it like incorporating kefir, sauerkraut, kimchi, bone broth into my diet - huge mistake. Then I decided at some point in this short time frame to incorporate coffee another huge mistake. I’ve been having to take Zyrtec every other day to combat my severe itching, hives etc. but the other day I had a massive histamine dump. I felt crazy, everything looked distorted and I felt a sense of disgust within my body. I had tremors. It was awful and this happened while I was out at a show. Soon as I got home I took a Zyrtec and within about 30 minutes or so I was back to normal - thinking clear, wasn’t itchy. But the histamine dump causes swelling on the top and back of my head, sometimes the swelling is in my lower legs. My scalp looks like I hit it on something causing like a bump/bruised area but i didn’t hit my head I’m having inflammation from the histamine. My head felt like it was filled with so much pressure. I feel so much better because of the antihistamine and I’m scared that when the antihistamine fades I’ll experience that again. One thing for sure, I’m not eating kefir, miso, bone broth etc. all the great foods normal people can eat. I have to accept that these types of foods make me very ill. I’m so glad that you are talking about this. I was doing fine on my low histamine diet and I just got the bright idea to revert back to foods that cause harm because it’s what normal people eat but I’m not normal. I feel for anyone who deals with this, it’s terrible 😢

Omg! I think I had this! Suddenly, just insane, can’t think, my mood was just beyond controllable and I could not function.

Seizures can happen too. Why I wasn’t told about such is alarming. As well as my chiari being ignored while I’ve already had seizures. Sad medicine today. I got a pill no real answers.

Yes this happens to me, it cause seizures, I can’t even drink water, why does water trigger me? Also, when I am triggered, I can’t eat food, if I eat solids, this triggers excruciating pain and seizures. It’s horrible and debilitating. My body before a spell, feels like it’s on high alert, I can’t relax, my pupils feel big and I over sense things, mentally and physically, I almost feel like I have too much electricity in my body? Is that even a thing? But I feel electrical, like shocks, or about to be shocked.

July 2024 (46yrs) colonoscopy showed high levels of mast and white blood cells. 1 mth later I started taking 25mg Vistaril, 3xs a day. I began having auditory and visual hallucinations. PCP and Gastro keep telling me it's not to be concerned about. 🤯
