Do you mind moving the sheet music a bit lower down for the next short? The top is cut off on my phone 😭🙏

Now this is how you write for 5 horns.... using those killer 1950's / 1960's Count Basie block chord harmonies. That sound is soo damn sick !!

Gordon Goodwin’s solis just hit different, his awesome writing made me listen to his songs so much that he’s my 5th most listened to artist on Spotify lol

Great sax soli but my favorite sax soli will always be the one from the groove merchant

This is pure bliss to hear live, I was just the pianist but I love hearing the horns go off

Man I remember playing this piece a couple years ago. I loved that soli section! Still my favorite jazz song I’ve ever played

Never saw that word 'soli' before. Makes sense. Learned something new. Thank you.

I have PTSD from this part. My audition music for jazz band was this sax soli.

This song always was a joy to play. I was the bass trombone for my ensemble when we did it and, aside from the part actually being a real bass trombone part and not just Trombone 4, hearing this soli and then doing our own trombone soli was just pure fun and pleasure.

Fantastic sax section from Amazonia Jazz Band. Each player is a near 10 coolness and kind human beings! Hugs (from left to right) to: Toninho Gonçalves (with the inverted cap), Marquinhos (hard to see you), Elias Coutinho (my pal), Daniel Serrão (with white sneakers) Danilo (in the bari sax). You guys are one of the best sax players in northern Brazil.

I literally love jazz so much. First time playing in a jazz band was in 7th grade(I was a trumpet) and my best friend was a bari sax but wow did she play so good. She was in a soli and they all did so well

Hearing this kind of jazz being played by younger people is so cool. All the schools where I am play a lot of bebop and brash songs. I wish we got to do these more technical pieces.
