Sax Soli || Giant Steps || John Coltrane

I had to write a chorus of mostly eighth notes with good voice leading over Giant Steps for my Jazz Theory final, so I decided I may as well whip it up into a quick sax soli. Enjoy!

Golley! As if block chords weren't hard enough to write, now its the verbatim solo of giant steps by john coltrane. Oh, its not quite his..sorry, but similar start to the cadenza. Almost on Obbligato, pretty close but such a clean wonderful take. and yes the Alto glissando in the beginning was well appreciated.
