we dont necessarily need BIGGER ships but new ship TYPES would be nice. as long as they dont change the amount of masts it should be easy to recognize what ship type a ship is too.

what if the capstan on the sloop is aligned and it’s just the rest of the ship that is misaligned.

I've always thought they should make a fishing/hunting vessel. 4-man capable with multiple cooking stations but with limited armament and medium speed.

Cosmetic changes to the ships would be nice to make them into "another ship". Gives something extra to spend gold on. "Upgrade" the current ships into another version using in game gold. No difference in ship stats but they'd look different and give abit of variation on the seas.

I've always thought that the galleon should be adjusted for up to 6 people and they should make a ship in between galleon and brig intended for 4 players

Cutter, Schooner, and Frigate would all be great. Personally, I wouldn't mind different stats for each, but I also would just love cosmetic variations.

Thank you falcore I've been saying a small fast boat would bring more diverse game play since the brig came out everyone wants the "man o war" but few people stop to consider the possibilities presented by having a small ship that could out run larger teams without breaking reality and physics by sailing into the wind! I mean try doing that in the real world and see how far you get, flipping Reaper runners. you know seasons don't fear the Reapers nor do the wind, the sun or the rain, we can be like they are DONT FREAR THE REAPERS

We don't need bigger ships: just more variation in them and more different ways of controlling them. Some take more skill but go faster, while others are easy to control but are less fast etc.

Unpopular opinion, but I’d love a ship that could crew 6

Here’s a solution: instead of worrying about the possibility of there being 5 Man’o’Wars clogging the server performance, we could accept the idea of “first come first serve” for 2 Man’o’Wars per server and 3 Galleons per server. So if there are already 3 galleons in a server, you can’t be the 4th galleon of that server and are sent to a server that has open galleon slots. Same for the Man’o’War ship, since there can only be 2 in a server, you are sent to a server that has an open Man’o’War slot available. I feel like this method of matchmaking would be good since there won’t be any “error too many galleons” alerts since you’re already automatically sent to a server with open galleon slots. Just food for thought because I remember the Brig being such a game changer and some unique spice added to the seas. Maybe there could be 2 new ship types added at once so that not everyone is focused on the new massive ship type. That could be where the “junk” ship comes in or something else.

I've often felt a sail on the rowboat would be amazingly useful, and since we now know there will be a canon rowboat, it'd make it even more useful.
