The story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith” where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat—the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.
The series stars Ewan McGregor, reprising his role as the iconic Jedi Master, and also marks the return of Hayden Christensen in the role of Darth Vader. Joining the cast are Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie.

One thing I really liked was how rusty Obi-Wan was when it came to being a badass. In every retired-badass show or movie, they get a quick montage of them getting their old gear back and then it's like they never lost a step. Watching him struggle to do something after being outta the game for 10 years was kinda unique to me.

I really appreciate the positivity of this breakdown video and look forward to the future installments. Reading the negative reactions to the series from people on Reddit left me disheartened, but it was good to see that the G4 hosts had the same reaction to the show as I did.

this Fresh Ink was so informative and fun! The Obi Wan Show is my favorite from the Disney era so far. This show being only 2 episodes so far and have this much heart and soul, wow. Deborah Chow is a mastermind when it comes to Star Wars.

Seems like Kumail’s character, despite his faults, is running a Underground Railroad of a sort for possible force sensitive children(if that wasn’t also a con). That could open up a lot of doors for possible cameos and Obi is going to them in the next episode. We could see Rex, Ashoka, Mothma, or even Cal. Can’t wait to see what happens!

Ps… the girl selling spice in episode 2 was Ewan’s daughter.

I love the show so far and I love the recaps especially with Emily here. The one thing that I really liked that I heard about was that Temuera Morrison said that that was the 1st time he ever put on the clone trooper armor because His face was only CG onto the bodies of the characters in the movies

Love the commentary and structure of these Fresh Inks. Thoughtful fun convo without getting too bogged down in the details/lore.
