A personal thank you to our Fiscal Court members that acted correctly here. Now - we need to fix the poor communications between the Planning Commission and Boone Co residents.

Boone County KY Fiscal Court meeting 07/27/2021. Bulldog Media is on hand for an agenda item requesting a zone change for a 208-acre parcel from agricultural to industrial. The zone change would have allowed a $195 million development project to go forward. Residents contended that the development would not be a good fit in the area roughly bordered by Chambers Road, Dixie Highway and Interstate 71/75 in southern Boone County. Fiscal Court members Judge-executive Gary Moore and commissioners Charles Kenner, Cathy Flaig and Jesse Brewer voted down the zone change request 4-0. The large crowd that filled the Fiscal Courtroom and an overflow room in an adjacent building overwhelmingly supported the decision.
