Sad thing is Elphaba is the one and only character that had every reason to turn wicked but didn't but she still got labled as the villain😞

There is no doubt that wickedness was thrust upon her. Glinda knows better but she rather be loved by the people than share the truth. Elphaba is right all along. "No good deed, goes unpunished"

Elphaba had the love and care she deserved from her nanny, Dulcibear hence why she had empathy, love for and desire to protect all creatures in Oz, especially seeing them being mistreated and looked down upon just as she was.

I really love Dulcibear & the cross fox doctor, such great animals in this film.

Her parents should be ashamed of themselves for being so judgemental due to her skin.

How rude and disgraceful? And now they lost both their daughters due to what happened.

The more i look at Oz the more i realise how conservative the land must be.

tecnally, is the munchkins flute for judging Elphaba just because she's "different"

Wouldn't it be something if the baby lion turned out to be the Cowardly lion in the long run? Even if not, he's definitely a lil cutie.

Glenda is portrayed as so shallow, denying her friendship and acting as if that young man was nothing, for instance. When I was a little girl and read the Oz books I got a completely different impression. They did both Glinda and Elphaba a disservice at that moment. Although the portrayal of the patriarchy and racist attitudes in society were pretty spot on in the Oz books and in Wicked.

This is just like human nature to reject something they don't understand. Like the color of skin has anything to do with the kind of person you are.

Hmmm seeing the scorch marks around Elphie’s hat it makes me wonder one thing. Did she try to set the scarecrow on fire like she did in WOZ, or did she accidentally set herself on fire like in the book

the most beautiful character that could exist in the film its elphaba, a girl who realizes the injustices in a society controlled by a coward who tries to distract the population from his inefficiency to govern and the creation of a world in his own way where only those will have a place. who are equal to him (sound familiar?) diverting attention to vulnerable groups, violating their rights as living beings, treating them as inferiors, and when a person tries to change that situation and advocate for the rights of the least protected and the minorities, point her out as the villain to defeat and the common enemy, to fulfill only their power ambitions. And Glinda's character is just a social hypocrite who, even knowing about the injustices and segregation that happens, prefers to focus only on her personal success, regardless of the injustices or the pain that is exerted on innocent people, the only thing she is interested in is pleasing her need for admiration her egocentrism and selfishness. Glinda is just a social climber whose ambition for power outweighs her moral compass,
and it's sad because we all know the end of this character because the cowardly wizard doesn't even have the courage to do his job himself, he sends an innocent girl through deception to get rid of the only person who tried to protect minorities and their rights by killing her at the end of the story and once Dorothy does the wizard's dirty work (in collusion with Glinda) at the end they make her see that she never needed to do any of those tasks that The Wizard gave her, since she always had the opportunity to return home for herself. So glinda in the end was always a traitorous accomplice.
