My vehicle "went live" on Turo and I had 2 bookings the VERY next day. These two bookings alone paid the car note for this month, and left me with a small profit. Based on this experience it seems worth it. However, I'm new with less than a month in. I'll reevaluate in a few months when I have enough data for a proper trend analysis. As of now, I am happy with Turo.

Agreed I work at a car dealership and I pretty much used the dealership to my advantage. I had techs, detail guys and even co workers check in/check out customers for me. I eventually moved to real estate once I saw how I can set up the business model for rental properties.

Great video man! So backstory I had one car on Turo from late 2021 to early 2022. From my experience it is totally worth it if I had done minor adjustments to my business model like you did yourself, like having additional pictures BEFORE the smoking accident can really help you get the issue resolved to your favor. Ag the time that car was running I would say at 85 efficiency and I can visually see on my gross chart that this business does work and is profitable with a proper approach. I have an opportunity to get 1-2 cars with no money down at around 1, 000 monthly note on each. These cars are American muscle (392 Daytona charger) that I can use to my advantage on being a sought out car rental here in the Houston metropolitan area. I’m these cars are owned by someone else that can no longer afford the note and I’m offering to help them not damage their credit with a repo and ect. With my experience with Turo and the market that these rent out for I’m 80-86% certain I will be able to make the note payment and some change. I do know investors that arbitrage single family homes and scale through Airbnb as well so this method is no different in my eyes. My question is how could I possibly list this vehicle in my account ? Or would I have to have the owner make an account I manage it ?. If this is possible there is a big opportunity to scale within the Houston market assuming people’s notes. Thank you for your time !
