UK turo host here range rovers to fiat 500,

Got 7 cars on my fleet now and it’s busy but no way near as busy as the USA market.

I’ve had everything happen from crashes to people smoking in the car.

Really enjoy it and I feel like next year is going to be huge only been on it for 11 month 👌🏼

That's awesome. There's some important factors to consider when you buy and host your car. I've been on Turo for 2 years and have scaled to 7 vehicles. If I had to redo it I’d have a completely different strategy for success. My economy cars do the best now. I have 2 Fiat 500s and probably going to get a 3rd!

I’m in LA and my Kia telluride used to make between 1500 to 1800 per month and now I’m making 800- 900 per month, I’m usually renting the car for $60- $65 in order to get it rented. I have unlimited miles and airport delivery ( parking lots with shuttles ) competition here is crazy, I wouldn’t do turo without buying cars cash

Your model for Toro is definitely smart. So many people rush out and finance new cars and they don't realize when that depreciation set in and you're 30, 040, 000 mi in within a year how that impacts the value of the car. You won't be able to really trade it in without losing money and then you'll have to add money to it to get an upgrade. Basically you're just losing money and so at least with the used paid off car those are usually at their depreciation curve. So I mean you have nowhere to go but up really in a used vehicle once you pay it off because you're not paying any interest or anything like that. As long as you get a good deal. And I do recognize that a lot of used cars are so overpriced. Some people have no choice but to finance. Maybe a 8 to 10-year-old car but even if you were to do that having a lower payment and a good interest rate can maybe offset that a little bit. Also with lower payments a lot of people finish paying off the car sooner so that helps a lot. But so many people were getting new cars and trying to charge 30 and $40 a day. Crazy
