If I can make a suggestion to anyone about these pools. Always buy an oversized filter system and you will be way happier with the results. Try to get a system that changes the water every two hours instead of every 5. Those are average numbers for the pump set up that comes with these intex/above ground pools. We have had two pools in 10 years and only got a new one because we wanted bigger (now 16X32). In fact our neighbors still use our old one. We are converting to salt water chlorination this year 2022. Thanks for the video guys it helps to have other families show us just how easy it is.

I got the same saltwater system pump and it works perfect always crystal clear water and yes less maintenance

Even Texas needs to take their pumps indoors in the cold weather!! never leave any pump outdoors when it gets below freezing this will happen to your new pump as well

People mistakenly think that a salt system means no chlorine. The difference is you are literally making chlorine from the salt you add. That said, sometimes it is good or necessary to actually add chlorine when the pool gets in trouble. Too much salt over time will cause PH to rise to extreme levels (8.2 or higher) and any chlorine no matter where it comes from won’t even work. Nice pool..enjoy!

Where did you get the ladder from? I have a 12x24 rectangular Intex pool. I have the regular ladder that came with the pool.

I have just opened my brand new salt/ sand filter and my vacuum the first time had sand in it and when I backwashed it actually looked like mudd coming out. It did clear up and I rinsed and turned back on, but was wondering if this is normal with the salt water? I have never had that happen with my other pools with chlorine.
