Roadside CHAOS: Cars Breaking Down in 2023 Recession

The harsh reality of the recession is hitting Americans hard in 2023.

Just take a look at the state of cars on the road - with their missing grills, cracked windshields, and duct tape holding them together.

People simply can't afford to repair or replace their cars, leaving them stranded and struggling.

These broken-down vehicles are a visible symbol.

And this is just one example that is affecting millions across America.

The recession is here (and it's only getting worse).

Not a fan of this assumption. There are cars like this on the road every year, through good and bad economic times.

The government says we're not in a recession because they changed the definition of a recession.

Any more we do not build affordable cars or homes. They just build expensive to have higher profits. It hurts people with just average income.

It's not just that they can't afford to repair the car, but also because car repair costs have become absurdly ridiculous!

They are just lying to us. I'm in Healthcare and I can hardly afford my rent and car payment. Car insurance went up by several hundred dollars this year, but living in Miami, you NEED INSURANCE. It's really a struggle out here.

Look at the roads, maintenance doesn't even paint the lines anymore. Peoples yards are dirt....no grass. The amount of cars at a single family home has increased. 5-7 cars at 1 house means multiple people at 1 resident

So true. I'm a trucker and I see it across the states. Aspatially in big cities like Danver, Dallas, Salt Lake City, Portland.

That's inflation. You can fix the car or buy food and gas.

I see more cars broken down on the side of the road on long trips than I have seen since the late 70's

Pretty soon everyone's going to have to go back to the one thing that kept everyone alive in the Great depression of the 1920s...the potato!
