I honestly don't get why their relationship was so fonded over as the main relationship of the group when Chandler and Monica over there having a great time and 1000x cuter and healthier.

The thing with Sandy is heartbreaking to me. I know it’s a fictional show but it’s sad that Sandy seemed so dedicated to Rachel and Ross’ child and then Ross is acting all jealous of him and wants to fire him for being “too sensitive” for a guy.

Ross’s character bugs the crap out of me, but the physicality David Schwimmer brought to the role made for some of the funniest moments in the show. I think a different actor would have made Ross far less accepted or tolerable.

The best example is when he went to Rachel's office when she was extremely busy. He then proceeded to try to set up a romantic dinner for two despite the fact that Rachel was too busy and kept saying she didn't have time.

Just thinking how much Emily must have hurt at that wedding. And the audience isn’t supposed to care since she’s not one of the “friends.” Dang, I feel bad for her in that moment.

Ross didn't need a relationship, Ross didn't need Rachel, Ross didn't need any woman, he only needed therapy

Ross is that typical "nice guy" but the actor, David Schwimmer, is definitely a genuine nice guy. For him to pull off quite a character means that he's such a wonderful actor and has done his job perfectly.

The most toxic thing Ross did was freak out when he got to know that Rachel and Joey liked each other while he dated Rachel's sister and his best friend's ex Janice, thirsted over his own cousin.

Honestly, Ross really needed therapy.

He was left by his wife and developed abandonment issues, developed a serious case of neuroticism and codependency, and clearly had an inferiority complex. He’s a very sad character but the show never really seemed to acknowledge this. He didn’t need a relationship. He needed help.

No one ever talks about how he acts like their parents' attitude towards Monica is normal because he feels obviously superior to her...

Seeing the episodes with his parents you can tell Ross is the golden child of a narcissistic mother.

damn i always hated ross and rachel as a pairing but laying it out like this makes me realize them being endgame is literally a tragedy

I hate his parents. They did a terrible job.
But I hate them more just for Monica alone

If Ross wasn't Monica's brother and his connection was only as Chandler's old college roommate, would he still welcome within the group ?

He can be so annoying, I hated how he was so condescending towards Joey when he was so sweet and one of the most loyal friends

In the words of Gunther "What does Rachel see in this guy????🙄”

The fact that people cheered when he said Rachel's name at the alter kills my faith in humanity. Poor Emily.

The scene where Joey barely touches Ross and he goes flying always cracks me up.

Ross might be a questionable character but there’s no doubt in David’s acting skills that we are able to criticise AND feel for him at the same time

Ross is funny because he takes himself so seriously. His attempts to secure his manhood makes for a comedic twist when things don’t go his way
