⏰ 04:17 Transferring Data by Disk Cloning

-----------------------------------------------------------
✅ 【Detail】
Transferring Data by File Syncing
1. Click AOMEI Backupper, and come to its homepage.
2. Click “Sync” among these features, then click “Basic Sync”, here you can name the task if you need it.
3. Next, click “Add Folder” to select the folder you want to synchronize from the source drive, here is folder A. Select another drive as the destination path to store the synced folder, here I choose K to drive as an example.
4. You can see the “Option” and “Schedule” buttons at the bottom, click “Option”, in this pop-out window you can write a comment for your sync task or enable email notification here.
5. Next, you can see two options here:
The first one is “Sync the deletions in the source directory to the destination”, this means when your files are deleted from the source directory, the duplicate files in the destination directory will also be deleted. The second one is “Verify the integrity of files in the destination directory during synchronization”, this means if a file in the source directory does not exist, the missing file will be synced to the destination directory.
6. Hit “Schedule”, and you can set the sync task to run periodically. There are five modes provided: Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Event triggers, and USB plug-in.
7. Finally, Click “Start Sync” to perform the operation.

Transferring Data by Disk Cloning
1. Run AOMEI Backupper and get to its homepage.
2. Click “Clone” on the left pane and select “Disk Clone”.
3. Select the original hard drive on your PC as the source disk and click “Next”, here is disk 1.
4. Select the destination drive you want to clone to and click “Next”, here is disk 2.
This pop-up window will warn you to back up important data, if you are sure to do this then click “OK”.
5. Here are three options you need to notice, click “Edit Partitions”, and you can choose to resize partitions on the destination disk or not here.
The next option “SSD Alignment”, will improve the reading and writing speed of the SSD. Use this option if the destination disk is an SSD.
The third one is “Sector By Sector Clone”, it will clone every sector on the source disk no matter whether it is used or not, and it requires the destination disk to be equal to or larger than the source disk.
6. At last, click “Start Clone”, after a while, you will have two same drives.

I have an external 4tb WD Elements SSD (with 3tb data) that I’d like to back up to a second 4tb SSD. It’s just pictures and video files. What method should I use? Should I schedule it to copy in the middle of the night for several nights? Once this is done, I’d like to keep using the first drive for additional data, then add these data to the backup drive on a later date. Does this make sense?

I want to use this to move files to an external hard drive and then to a new PC. In the new pc, do I just go to the file and move them into it, or do I need your software again?
