Having developed an interest in Hinduism and Indian culture in general, I undertook to read this influential account of the magic and mysticism of the near East. I ended up being both delighted and inspired by the text.

Logan Albright is a writer, economist, musician, occultist, and all around interesting guy living and working in Washington, DC. In his spare time, hre reads lots of books and reviews them.

Great book. Great review. I cherish this book. It’s like reading a spiritual odyssey. One of my favorite quotes from this autobiography is something to the effect ‘you enter this world with nothing and you leave this world with nothing.’

I read this book recently and it was greatly enlightening. I joined YSS self realization fellowship and it's great...I would recommend you to read the Bhagavad Gita with commentary from swamy mukundanada....it's a survival guide in this world full of misery and suffering and the Arjuna (warrior) inside you will awaken !!

Precise in your review, I have read half of it and I loved it yes the miracle part sounds unrealistic but yes I also believe special people can create miracles and see them as well and he was definitely special one good thing I liked about the book is that he has also included Christianity in his learning and shows that Hinduism is not a radicalised religion and is pretty accomodating 🙏

Everyone wonder about this autobiography book and yoganandar and YSS. Actually that book is not about the things which I mentioned above. It's all about spirituality in India, Indian Yogis and gurus beyond that its about Sadhana..

I’m about 50 pages in..and while i consider myself spiritual and open minded, i’m finding the miracle thing a little difficult to digest... also because he writes about them like it’s no big deal lol without much further explanation. I can’t help but question whether he’s lying and it puts me off. If I remember correctly a human being can’t survive more than 3 days without water...how can someone claim to live 50years + without eating or drinking, is there any proof of that? I’d love to hear your thoughts on this : ) I’ll try and finish the book regardless though
