I love Paramahansa Yogananda.and I am a Muslim. Love and enlightenment is universal, not limited to language or religion

I read the Autobiography of a Yogi in 1960, when I was 16. It became my Bible. I have been practicing the Kriya Yoga every day since 1964. What has it done for me? Remarkable inner bliss and happiness. No matter what happens in the outer, I can sit for a little while in meditation and be filled with love and peace. THANKS, Yogananda. Also, I am NOT a member of ANY spiritual or religious organization....no need: While meditating, Yogananda, Jesus, et al come to me inwardly. All people become my fellow parishioners.

In 1972 was living and surfing in Jeffery's Bay, South Africa when a man, out of the blue, gave me a copy of Yogananda's book. Like all who have read it, my life changed. A few months earlier I had, for want of a better word, undergone a spiritual awakening. The timing of receiving his book immediately after those experiences tied it all together and set me on the path of Love, for life. I love you Paramahansa Yogananda.

Never heard of him until 2019.. the mainstream religion is the reason why people have no idea about other spiritual master... yogis and monk are unique...

My favorite guru. His book changed my life. I don't even remember how I got to know about the book but yet someone sent it to me in Africa.

I remember my husband handing me a book by Paramanhasa Yogananda at Barnes and nobles. I read in one of the pages that says " The kingdom of God is not in the clouds or somewhere out there in the sky but the kingdom of God is within you ". It somehow impacted me and it made me contemplate about what I read and made me contemplated my life in general. From then on I met many spiritual gurus with the same teachings in books and the internet.
My gratitude to parahamansa who woke me up in my dream. He is truly a gift from divine consciousness that we are to wake us up from the dream.😍😊

Read the book just a month before. It transforms my soul. It is not a book. Energy flows through it. Vibrates my soul. Cant believe, a book has such an effect.

Paramahansa Yogananda's translation of Omar Khayam's book is an absolute gem. It was sent to me by an attorney from NY. I am forever grateful.

A profound, engulfing flame of energy comes from the vibration of this book. Universal energy. Love, understanding and peace comes through this book. Kriya Yoga is a great path to follow of anyone seeking more understanding in this world.

I was driving in the City, I am thinking it was around 2005, suddenly I felt like I was being directed and I started turning down back roads until I pulled up in front of a second hand store. I walked in and headed straight to a bookshelf at the back left and pulled the book right out.
Paid for it and left. I had never heard of him before and was quite amazed by what I read. Even my husband was compelled to read it.
I think this was my first experience with this inner voice.
I still feel sadness and my eyes fill with tears every time I see his photo.
I don't know why he makes me feel so sad.

Those who are interested in the history of spirituality should take note that Swami Vivekananda was the first Hindu guru to travel to the West. He addressed the Parliament of the World's Religions in Chicago in 1893, and went on to found several spiritual centers which are part of the Vedanta Society today.

Sorry, if I'm not mistaken, He was not the first one to teach, the first one was Swami Vivekananda... who was an unknown monk on the US soil on 23 September 1893 before the start of the Parliament became overnight a celebrity... Vivekananda began his journey to America from Bombay, India on 31 May 1893, with the great ship peninsula His journey to America took him to China, Japan and Canada
