I live in China and work in the industrial sector, the only thing that China wants is to ¨open new markets¨ for its products. They have done that since the dynasties' times, with the silk road and it never changed. Mexico is a massive market with a lot of potential for commerce, they truly believe in the concepts of win-win cooperation and long-term partnerships... if Mexico (and Latin America) can prosper, they will do it too... together. The Chinese have a completely different approach than the American McCarthyism that only wants Latin Americans down their feet, poor and easily controllable by servile politicians so they can extract our resources and use our cheap labor. (I'm Argentinean and love Mexico!).

In the 50's my Dad worked a modest job, Mom stayed at home and raised the kids, and they lived a nice middle class lifestyle including owning a home. Nowadays both I and my partner works and can barely afford to make ends meet. Soon the kids and family dog will need to work to keep this household going. It's the destruction of the American dream right before our eyes.

Let look at what China did, it did not build a military base on Mexico or any other southern Latin countries it did not tell any Latin countries how to run their countries nor did it make any of the countries it do business with force them to agree to anything against their countries states or people... It is simply making a deal that both and all party agrees on that help their own respected people growth forward in a better life not worse... China did not come selling guns and weapons for the streets and China did not ask that the Countries to change their laws or morals to fit China investment... I cannot speak for secret agenda but face value China only make those countries it work and agree in contacts with improving their countries and people better
