Are Trigger Points in the Gluteus Medius Responsible for Your Back Pain?

👉 The gluteus medius muscle plays an important role in stabilizing the pelvis during movement.

👉 Trigger points in the muscle can cause pain and discomfort, particularly in the lower back and hip areas.

👉 Tightness in the muscle can result in a misalignment of the lower back and referred pain to other areas of the body.

If you're experiencing lower back pain, it could be due to trigger points in your gluteus medius muscle. This broad, thick muscle in your buttocks can become tight and inflamed, leading to pain and discomfort in your lower back and hips. The muscle's attachment to the iliac crest, the bony ridge at the top of your pelvis, can cause your lower back to misalign when it pulls on the crest.

Hello sir, I've been practicing since 2018 and i have seen alot of patients suffering from back pain and lateral thigh pain due to these trigger points .. but here in Pakistan people go to GPs and are often misdiagnosed as sciatica or LB problem

I don’t think triggerpoints are a real thing.
