Ninja 650 is probably the best beginner bike to start on
- Very beginner friendly
- Not too little power that you'll get bored after 2 months
- Not too much power that's hard for you to handle
- Comfortable
- Affordable

Unpopular but I recommend dirt bikes. Mostly bc you can take them almost anywhere and can customize them for anything. They’re not insanely fast either but can still get up and go. If anyone’s actually interested I’d recommend starting on like a kx 250 or drz or some other 250 4 stroke

Edit: also I just wanna say this is just for people looking into bikes to have more options. Understand not everyone wants to go 180 down the interstate (yes it’s fun but sometimes just enjoying life is also fun)

Probably gonna go with either a ninja 500 or a ninja 650 for my first bike

I would like to recommend the Buell Blast 500 as a first bike. Not super small, but also not too big. They're affordable and they keep up with traffic. They're also really nimble and they're a happy medium between a cruiser and a sportbike

I've done a year on my grom as my go to work ride. Now I'm itching for the upgrade

just brought home my first bike today, a grom 😂 my mom's boyfriend has a harley and has been riding bikes for 25 years, he's very excited to teach me how to ride because he doesn't have kids and neither one of my brothers is interested in bikes or cars 😂

depends on if you wanna trade eventually for a bigger bike, but i got my honda monkey as my first motorcycle and later on got a 1200 sportster. i don’t think i’ll ever get rid of the monkey but im trying to sell the sportster now. speed doesn’t make everything fun when riding bikes! especially if you live in a rural area. but it’s understandable wanting a fast bike if all of your friends have one. but if you’re a back road rider, i recommend anything honda sells that’s a 125. the monkey, the trail 125, the grom; they’re all awesome. the monkey has a really comfortable seat too btw. top speed is like 62-63 if you’re tucked and going down a hill lmao

Not gonna lie I only started riding for exactly a month already on a Suzuki gz250 marauder and honestly best decision ever I will say I wanna go faster and I’m already so use to the bike but I’m still gonna force myself on or to be with it a little longer

The first hike I learned how to ride on was a dirt bike and it does help a little if you can ride a dirt bike you should be able to learn how to ride a road sports bike pretty easily

Im looking into possibly getting a bike
Leaning towards one in the category of "Dual Sport" but uncertain which is the best option for my dollar
Something fun but not too powerful

I started on a grom while it is a super fun bike to mess around on ive only had it for a month and i'm already looking for faster bikes because the power on that bike is just to little.
