If you’re sitting at 228 lbs I’d recommend you shoot for around 2500-2800 first since you been way higher than this and if your dropping .8-1lb per week, it’s solid, if it less drop by increments of 200

Nice work homie, to find your perfect calories you would want calculate your BMR (how much you naturally burn a day) with an online calculator. Then simply eat around 400-500 calories below that creating that deficit. Stay strong king.

2, 000 is good. If you're losing weight too fast or feel bad bump it up by like 200 And see if you're still losing weight but feel better. If you're not losing weight bump it down by like 200 in basically do the same assessment.

A better way would be to first calculate the calories of the food you are regular basis by weighing it, and then deduce 500 calories from that and start eating that amount of calories. Then compare your this weeks average morning weight with next weeks average weight, if you’re losing 0.5% of body weight then you’re in good track if not adjust accordingly. End of it all the goal should be getting enough nutrient and loosing 0.5% weight weekly. Some weeks you might plateau or even seem to gain lil, but just relax and focus on goal, trust the process and take it slow.

Do 2000 definitely. Eat high protein foods so you can keep your muscle. Just remember that you can lose weight on an all donut/ice cream/cereal/McDonald’s diet if you are eating under your maintenance calories.

i good rule is goal body weight (pounds) x 10 is target calories - and get 10k steps a day - if you are aiming for 180 pounds - 1800 calories
