Blackbeards Cherry Pie from One Piece #shorts

I gotta side with Blackbeard on this one

For the Crust:
• 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
• 3-4 tbsp ice water

For the Filling:
• 5 cups fresh or frozen cherries, pitted
• 3/4 cup granulated sugar (adjust depending on cherry sweetness)
• 3 tbsp cornstarch
• 1 tbsp lemon juice
• 2 star anise
- 1 cinnamon stick
• 1/4 tsp almond extract (optional, enhances cherry flavor

I know this isn't the point of the video, but when you mentioned how simple Blackbeard's introduction was, I got chills, man. At this point it's been literal decades since we first saw some of these characters and there's still more we don't know about them. One Piece is such a phenomenal story! Yeah this is a recipe I could understand why Blackbeard would scarf down by the fistfulls! Those fresh cherries really pop, and the crust recipe is amazing!🤤 One of the best pie recipes I've ever eaten.
