Blackbeard is probably the most difficult character to cast in the entire live action series - NO ONE in Hollywood is that ugly.
In my opinion, he can only be played by one man and I absolutely will NOT budge on this one: ladies and gentlemen, the one and only FELIX SOLIS!
If you don't know who that is, he plays the drug cartel Kingpin Omar Navarro on Netflix original series Ozark and he has both the haircut and beard, complexion and raspiness in his voice to play Blackbeard. They can easily add a set of fake teeth and some makeup to exaggerate his features.
The other actor that people seem to be feening for is Nonso Anonzie (Big Man from "Sweet Tooth") but apart from being big and tall I wouldn't say he particularly resembles Blackbeard.
If the series get as far as Marineford or beyond (which I honestly doubt), then casting Catalina Devon and Vasco Shot won't be easy either. But for the latter I actually do have a guy in mind: Antonio De La Cruz from Papillon (google him up, he is 6'8 tall so would be perfect).
