Thank you. I just bought one. This video has helped me with reloading my string. For some reason, the bump wasn't working very well for me, maybe its just a learning curve.

Got one a few years ago and really enjoy its power! I’m on 5 acres and trim probably 2.5 hours, this trimmer never disappoints!

Just commenting to say thank you! I’ve been loading this wrong ever since I got it, making it way too complicated. This makes much more sense.

Just bought one of these yesterday. So far, i really like it. Main thing ive noticed in the first day of having it is its definitely a lit more powerful than my last trimmer, and the fuel efficiency is just awesome. I ran the trimmer around my moms property which is roughly an acre. I also trimmed around her home, porches, and carport then hit a few spots that i couldn't get to woth the mower. Afterwards, when i came home, i ran it around my home and my yard and all on one tank of fuel. My old trimmer would've gone thru 3-4 tanks of fuel doing the same work.

I have the FS 56 RC-E. Never used the original bump feed head. Took it off as soon as I got home with it and installed the 20-2 SuperCut auto feed head. It holds 23 feet of trimmer line. The same head they come stock with in Europe. I'm sure my local ace probably sells that canned gas, but they also sell, and recommend non-ethanol, high octane ATV gas they sell by the gallon. In any event, I just buy 93 octane, non-ethanol gas from a local Co-Op station and it fires right up the next year just fine.

Great video, I just bought one to replace my 10 year old Husqvarna 223L, the line replacement portion was the most helpful, better explanation and demostration than the guy who sold it to me, Thanks!

I've bought two of the FS 56 RC-E, one in 2021 and the other one in 2022 as a back up and still have them to this day. I do the service(air filter, spark plug and fuel filter) to them every season by purchasing the service kit for them and I do grease them regularly as well. I use nothing but nonethanol gas and mix a gallon of it with the Stihl 2 cycle oil. The original head for them I removed them in favor of the hybrid ugly trimmer head that uses 1 foot strips on three corners or the plastic blades. I love it. I do have one of the autocut 26-2 heads as a back up just in case. I've never used it though.

(Audio very low this video) I first 'discovered' Stihl as a yard tools company perhaps 20yrs ago, & w/ only a single exception (details below), Stihl products have served me & my family very well. So, I own two Stihl FS56RC trimmers, the newer one w/ the '-E' designator, bought ~2yrs apart. When you've got a few acres to maintain, the work goes faster w/ two people trimming, hence second unit.

Now, I don't abuse my tools, but I am hard on them at times. Maintenance is the absolute KEY to keeping things around & happily working - whether a marriage or a weed wacker, the same holds true. Don't neglect things & give them your best care, & they'll never let you down.

Loading the string in mine is not that easy. It will not turn as easily as you have shown. I will definitely be returning this one.

I have this and an older Echo. Both work well I prefer using the Echo between the two. It just works better for me for some reason.
