Yes, if you are dating just one woman, you will become anxious. If you are dating two or three women and have the mindset that you normally date three women (dating more than three women is logistically difficult) then you might not even notice a new woman pulling away, or one of the women pulling away for any reason. The downside of routinely dating three women, is that you will no longer care, if a woman pulls away. You will have lost your oneitis cherry, which is slightly depressing, because you no longer have that elated feeling about women.

Each situation is unique, but making yourself a little scarce might well be beneficial.

An old friend of mine (now passed) was wise on the subject of women. He suggested adopting a somewhat philosophical attitude. He said "Women are like buses. Another one always comes along." John Gray has a similar analogy for men in his book Men are from Mars Women are from Venus, Chapter called Men are like rubber bands, why men pull away. This phenomenon of pulling away and coming back is more common in Men. When women pull away more than likely she’s exploring her options or trying to figure out how to break up with you.
