Of course the big bang is not the start, we don't even know what time is or if it exists, so good luck using time as a measuring stick and trying to determine the timing of anything for now at least. Things just always have been as they are now, what is hard to understand about that.

Okay, if your religion is christianity, how could your god have created the universe? Christianity is only about 2000 years old. It is does take a great deal of ideology from the so-called pagan religions that preceded it, but most of the christians I know find that to be an uncomfortable fact.
