Worked.. Most people don't know how to config their router. My suggestion is to learn the routers function(s) prior to attempting this. Nice video!

Not all routers are same though. Also, most routers use IP 192.168.0.1
run CMD prompt, then type ipconfig and press enter. Network information displayed will give you the location of your router on the network. It's the IP address for Default Gateway.

Once logged into the router, you may need to look under firewall settings or advanced settings to find port forwarding.

You can also open up a IP address for DMZ, but this will open all ports for that IP address so the device will be wide open to the outside world. Not always a good idea.


If port test PASSED then you're good to go. If FAILED then there is either typo, wrong info typed, or another device, program, or firewall blocking access to ports from outside your local network.
