JAMAICA WILL NOT EXIST IN 25 YEARS!

Jamaica is facing a dire threat from rising sea levels caused by climate change and global warming, with major contributions from countries like the United States and China. This small island nation, known for its stunning beaches and vibrant culture, could see much of its coastline disappear by 2100 if urgent action isn’t taken. In this video, we dive deep into how rising sea levels and extreme weather are reshaping Jamaica, threatening its tourism-dependent economy, agricultural industry, and the very lives of its people.

🌊 What’s Happening in Jamaica?
Jamaica’s low-lying coastal areas, including iconic destinations like Negril, Montego Bay, and Port Royal, are at risk of being submerged as sea levels rise by up to 3 feet by the end of the century. Coral reefs, which protect the island from storm surges, have declined by 85%, while mangroves, natural buffers against coastal erosion, are being cleared for development. Combined with thermal expansion and the rapid melting of Greenland and Antarctic ice sheets, the outlook for Jamaica’s coastline is dire.

📉 The Economic and Cultural Costs
Tourism contributes nearly 10% to Jamaica’s GDP, but rising sea levels are eroding the very beaches that draw millions of visitors each year. Negril’s Seven Mile Beach, a global icon, is shrinking rapidly. Agriculture, another pillar of the economy, is under siege from saltwater intrusion and extreme weather. Crops like sugarcane, bananas, and coffee are already affected, with projections showing up to a 20% decline in agricultural output by 2050.

🔥 Global Responsibility
Though Jamaica contributes less than 0.02% of global emissions, it faces catastrophic impacts caused largely by major polluters like the United States, China, and the European Union. These countries account for over 50% of global carbon emissions, yet vulnerable nations like Jamaica bear the brunt of the consequences. This is not just a climate issue—it’s a matter of global justice.

✅ Solutions for a Sustainable Future
Despite the challenges, hope remains. Jamaica is taking steps to restore mangroves, invest in renewable energy, and promote eco-tourism to safeguard its future. Globally, larger nations must step up, reduce emissions, and support small island nations like Jamaica through financial aid and sustainable development initiatives.

Thank you mr David Attenborough for shedding light on climate change and what it may mean for Jamaica and the Caribbean, I'm a big fan of yours. I watched every episode of planet Earth at least 10 times over. I agree with everything you're saying, I believe that the government of Jamaica is taking climate change very seriously. This past summer in New York City, there was a big climate change meeting with many nations, and he was one of the main speaker.I have to say that he did me proud.

I somehow 😕 anticipated this...
I lived in jamaica 🇯🇲, in a place called Bull Bay, Nine Miles, for seventeen years... and I can recall stepping out of my "yard" and looking at the sea 🌊 for as far as I can see 👀, and thinking that is a lot of water and the water seem to meet the sky... "skyline". Also, there is a "river bed" that is normally dry, but when it rains, the water just churns right into the sea 🌊. Not a place for the faint of heart...

Jamaica don't ofto worry about that because we are entering the end times, the last days are over.God will be here before that base on prophetic events, we just don't know the day or the hour.
