This is great, but once you get in 3rd world countries, they don't all have that latch due to lack of regulations. that's why I bought a security lock that goes in the doorknob area.

Where you have the towel ran thru, run a belt thru like the towel. The buckle of the belt slide it thru the open handle and do it as if you’re tightening your belt

No! That just keep the door from open to a certain point. All a theif has to do is use a credit card or something thin just enough to slide between the door and frame. That will push the part that swing back off the hook and the door will open. Learn how to with a belt

The problem with this is it makes ot more difficult for paramedics and fire fighters to get in. The exploit for these is fairly eays to stop since you are inside the room.
