My mom barricades the hotel room door with heavy furniture before we sleep. Not the best idea if there's a fire and you need to escape though, so there's risk either way.

I saw the video of the person using the long lock pick on another channel. It was a female guest inside the room. She said she hadn't been in her room for long and she heard this faint scrambling around the door. She looked and saw the 'pick' but originally wasn't sure what it was for until she saw it trying to turn the lock.
