And there's a lesson there for everyone: If you tell a lie, it's highly likely that you will have to make up a bunch of new lies to cover up the first one. Unless your memory (both long-term & short-term) is absolutely *perfect* you will eventually wind up telling new lies that will contradict old lies & get caught anyway.
