I do think El and Mike love each other. But they've grown up, and the romantic love just isn't there anymore. On both sides. I dont think El loves Mike romantically, either. With her losing her dad and the isolation and the loneliness, she clings to Mike. I think in the 5th season, Mike is going to have to pull Will from the dark side. The speech he gives Will, will be much more emotionally satisfying. When he talks to El, when she's in the upside down, was like a child explaining love. When he saves Will from the dark side it will be like a man saving someone he is in love with.

I have a feeling that they won't end up together, but I personally really like this ship, I think they could be really cute together, I just personally don't see it actually happening in the show for some reason. Also even though Mike isn't CANONLY apart of the lgbtq community (or at least not yet anyways), Will CLEARLY has a thing for Mike, so who knows lol. They might be able to show the development between them in season 5, and Mike, could eventually develop feelings (that is if he doesn't already like him). Great video btw <3
