My all time favorite artist. I’m 50+, and her music got me through an abusive relationship in my late teens. I’m not sure where I would be if not for her music. I’m beyond thankful for the energy she puts into this world.

Growing up in the 90s we were super poor, my mother didn't spend money often. She did however by Tracy Chapmans album on cassette tape. The song resonated with us because its how life was. When this song would come on, mom made sure we paid attention. Glad for it. Tracy Chapman encapsulates what it is to feel helpless, but also gives hope.
