Ive been using makita 18V for many years and now recently stepped up to the new 40V xgt line. The cost for the first few batteries have been painfull but the performance you get is incredible. those 40V tools get VERY close to performing like corded ones. The xgt earth auger is a beast and the hammer drill is a game changer for me.

I have been using Makita LXT series for 10 years. But lately they break very often compared to other tools on the market. I will move to Dewalt or Milwaukee, they are more durable.

For anyone watching this guy is half talking nonsense. Literally not a single tool in this video needs a battery above 2.5AH. There is plenty of XGT tools that require the bigger batteries but not one of them was shown in this video so ignore what this guy is saying and save yourself some money and just buy the 2.5AH for these tools.
