Ford made some changes to the 2024 Ford superduty on the passenger side 4x4 engagement wheel hubs (non tremor) to remove the auto hub and replace with a dummy hub. Some people were happy about this, others not so much. Good news is this feature is back for late 2024 and 2025 model year.

I just purchased a 2024 F250 with a build date of November of 2024. I took delivery yesterday. It does have the auto locking hub on the passenger side as well as the driver side. It was one of the first things I looked at when I looked over the vehicle. Thanks for the super informative video.

My 24 king ranch that was built 6/24/24 had the dummy hub. I hated it because of all the noise when driving in 2 wheel drive because everything was turning. Now I took to dealership. And they made the switch to auto locking hub on right side. They added the hub and vacuum lines for free. This issue is 100% covered under ford warranty 3 year 36000 miles. So anyone that wants this done that’s your time window to get it done for free. I would 100% recommend getting this done.

Great information. I’m glad to see they went back. I converted my 2024 passenger to the auto-locking, pretty simple. Truck seems to also ride smoother down the highway since the axle shaft and other components aren’t turning in the front.

I'm liking that single cab Super Duty gasser on the end. Good, simple work beast.

Things I’ve noticed that my 2023 SRW 7.3 Godzilla F350 Lariat Sport FX4 has that was dropped for 2024: The 75th Anniversary F-series windshield decal and center screen startup graphic. The passenger side front auto/manual locking hubs. The body colored painted side mirror caps. On my Carbonized Gray Metallic paint it looks so dang good with the color matched wheels and the mirror caps. I’ve since added a gloss black exhaust tip and the Ford Accessories front and rear black badges. Gorgeous looking truck!

Love this video that you made planning on buying a new Super Duty I like the fact that they went back to the Dual option to lock the hubs

I am completely happy with manual hubs, and stick to select 4 wheel drive hight or low.

Was all about money. Ford is cutting corners everywhere. Saved money by only having to build half the system. They just keep increasing the price and taking things away like keyless entry in 25. I’ve been a senior master tech for thirty five years. Never seen ford going in so many wrong directions.

That 2023 regular cab had me feeling a certain type of way.

Good to hear Ford is listening to their customers!
Hopefully they will also get rid of those horrible looking plastic bed & bumper steps. The addition of the steps has ruined the body lines on the SWR SuperDuty’s. #Ford #SuperDuty

So stupid to do that all that drive force on one wheel and not the other my truck was pulling to the left hard
Changed the hub and installed vacuum lines problem fixed

The best 'change' they could make is to go back to the 2022 look/design.

Ford brought back the hub due to grinding noises on the dummy hub models. The fix is to install a regular hub. Bulletin just came out today.

Maybe they can work on their transmission issues and the cam/lifter issues with the 7.3😮

Wouldn't want no dummy hub on mine!! I think the name explains itself pretty well!!!! I would dare say that whoever thought this was a good idea is also named dummy or possibly dumbass!!!!
