2nd Floor Bathroom Drain Leak

When a bathroom drain on the second floor starts to leak, it can be hard to know because the 1st floor ceiling catches the water ... until you cut a hole in the ceiling and the water comes pouring out.

That's the FIRST thing to do. I found out the hard way. I was 24vwhen I bought my home and there was a leak (from the ceiling) in my first floor bathroom. the second floor bathroom is directly above. a portion of the ceiling fell down in ntje middle of the night. I noticed a leak again(20 years later) tonight and the first thing I did was create a few holes to drain any remaining water then incur the water off upstairs. it's either the bathtub or toilet (Most likely the bathtub). I won't use thatbbathroom until it is repaired by a plumber. Thank you so much for showing this video as I may save lives. That ceiling could have fallen while I was in the first floor bathroom and injured my puppy or myself. I never bothered to examine my ceiling for moisture or "irregularly" (for lack of a better word). Great video!!!❤❤❤
