Thanks for sharing your thought process of how to troubleshoot the leak and how to take everything apart! I’m hoping to find the source of my shower’s leak

I think I have this exact problem. Did you put out that "Part 2" you mentioned yet?

I would check the sharkbite fitting it could simply not be pushed down right or cut to short. We have to stop hating on sharkbite. Plumbing is evolving it is part of the business. I have seen every type of fitting collapse.

Mine is leaking at the point the shower stem connection. Only leaks when I put the shower head on. I have the wall opened up on the back side and can feel the drip. It doesn't leake when the shower head is off though. Any fix ideas?

I love it how people blame the shark bite fitting when I have never had one fail in 30 years. so many times people either don't deburr or don't insert it far enough. I assume the later in this case. I always put a line on the pex because its so easy to think you pushed it in far enough. So when I don't see a line on the pipe its usually not pushed in far enough.

That shower neck probably moves because someone used a sharkbite fitting up there.

I hear a pretty loud drip noise by my standing shower

Nothing wrong with Sharkbite fittings if installed properly.

There really isn't anything in an American wall but hidden plumbing connections?

Not pushed in far enough. It moves because the shark bites rotate.
