As an outsider to the drone community but into racing and such, this is pretty cool. Im sure there are some sort of “launch control” strategies in software form they can use kinda like we do in cars.

They also have higher angles on their cameras because there's flying more vertical compared to fpv flying which is horizontal. They almost stay at that launch angle the whole race

You should try running a higher camera angle like 40-50 degrees which is what racers typically use. You would be able to get more perpendicular with the ground for a faster launch while still being able to see ahead
